Those are not all the filters, they are only being worked on.
- Search by type: Animas, Dramas, People, Characters, Users (later other things as well).
- Search by medium: Film, TV, etc.
- Search by Actors and Staff.
- Search by general info.
- The search will allow you to pick many genres, many cases (as you can see on the picture) and many different combinations.
- Instant search. The second you pick something it'll write it under the search, and search by it. You can pick 'is' and 'is not' together (see picture).
I saw it yesterday and i like it.
ReplyDeleteOmg, this search system is <3 I like that it instantly searches as we change filters :D
ReplyDeleteLooks good, but I seriously hope "Animas" is just a typo here on the blog. It should of course be "Anime" - in both singular and plural.
ReplyDelete@zapeipaa, it's actually animas -- read the discussion about it on mydramalist.info
ReplyDeleteIt would be really convenient to have these search filters!
ReplyDeleteThat's cool. Will the filters be resetted with every search or does the website remember our last choice?
ReplyDeleteAnd what about the titles? I always want the original titles to appear, but sometimes it is nice to see the english titles as well in the results, to recognize the right drama.
And I have a suggestion for the "on-my-list"-thing. Maybe you could highlight dramas, that are on my list with a lighter background? This idea came to my mind, when I visited an actors page and wanted to see all movies from him and thought it would be a nice feature to see at one glance, which ones I've already seen.
So maybe you could not only hightlight "on my list", but also "completed" and "uncompleted" with different green shades ^^
But I'd understand, if you dislike such a feature, which would make such a heavy impact on the appearence of the design. But asking doesn't hurt, right?
Another thing: I think I once heard about a feature for searching for role names. Will this be implemented in the new version?
ReplyDeleteIt looks really cool.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if it's even possible, but I will really really appreciate,if there would be a chance to search by a ranking of series...
@Jakub, we currently don't have rankings, but if you mean score/popularity, then. It will be possible.
